The Byron Bay Blitz Fest is the brainchild of Bryan Nykon and Megan Farnsworth.  Bryan is a film director from Vancouver, and Megan’s a cinematographer from Sydney.  They met serving tables at Byron Bay’s “The Balcony” restaurant, and over a couple of beers decided that they would organize an event that would get all of the incredibly creative “filmmakers” in the area off of their butts.  Already, just by word of mouth a handful of them have come out of the woodwork and committed to dust off their cameras and editing systems for a few days and get back to what it’s all about: making films, and having FUN!

There are already over a dozen volunteers and several local sponsors, but if you would like to help out, feel free to join the team!
